No Havens

Our world seems to be going backwards,

Tragedy creeping when we least expect it.

I wish that I could find a place where corruption hasn't been,

We're living in a world with no havens, only sin.

I wish that things didn't seem to cruel,

I wish that we could find a haven among these ruins.

But it doesn't have to be this way,

The world doesn't have to be such a dark place.

I know that we could all stop this before it gets worse,

So hopefully a change in the world can begin with this verse.

I hope that we turn this world into a haven,

Because I believe that this place is worth saving.

So if you're looking for a haven then you found one,

We don't have to stand by while innocent lives are lost.

Let's stand strong even when tragedy tries to shut us down,

Because tears mean that you're human so you don't need to drown.

So I keep on hearing them say that we are all out of havens,

I know that they're wrong because this is a light.
