No, Let Me Explain

Location

I step into the outside world and I say

"oh yes, it feels like Christmas"

And by "feels like Christmas"

I do not mean "cold"

If I tell you it feels like Chirstmas,

I am feeling what some might call

Pure Happiness

If I tell you it feels like Christmas

The moment I stepped outside

I felt the brisk air

I did not feel it biting at my cheeks

Nor did I have the urge to run back inside

No

I felt the air surround me in a blanket of soft frigid air

If I tell you it feels like Chirstmas

From the moment I had left the building

My mind was filled of memories

Memories of my mother

Dancing around the kitchen

Listening to the same Christmas jingle for the second hour in a row

Memories of my brother laying in the snow

Trying to see exactly where Santas reindeer had landed the night before

If I tell you it feels like Christmas

With each step I take

I am feeling a sense of peace

That cannot be explained

Cannot be achieved in any other way

And is what I wish even my worst enemies to feel

If I tell you it feels like Christmas

I want you to look at me in the eyes

Because I want you to see what unadulterated joy is.
