No life left in meI

No life left in me

I sat there lifeless, letting my mind wander

The waiting room was getting smaller

The air was getting thicker

Everything had been taken away from me

My future was non existent without her

I left the hospital with nothing

My mom was gone, there was no getting her back

I stand here four years later, doing my best

Today, she is smiling down on me

I promise you mom, I will make you proud
