No Longer

Potent thoughts consume my mind.

Slipping ever so slightly as they whisper to me.

The words of their mouths overcome my thoughts,

Ripping my voice from my throat.

These thoughts of mine are no longer.

My voice, coarse and vague, shouts silent screams into the darkness of agony.

Pausing only to breath in the commanding air.

My body screams to my mind starving for the release.

My body is no longer mine.

The hellacious dreams that once filled my being,

Are lost to the overpowering desire.

There is no longer any other need.

This soul of mine no longer belongs to the name Haley.

It has abandoned me and fled to another.

The thoughts of mine, the figure of my body, and the deepest depths of my soul are no longer

The essences of my being answer to another master.

They serve the society before myself.

They bow to the urgency of the others' desires.

I am the prayer that is answered from the lips of the suffering

I am the beginning to the end of the pain afflicted to my people.

I cannot be anything else.

I will be the healer that saves the broken.

I will be the medic to the fallen.

The whisper of my name is potent.

The fibers of my being are impenetrable.

I am the doctor.

I am potent.
