No Longer a Creature of Habit

Once upon a time

I felt at odd with myself

I knew I had to change

I can’t keep on living like this

Darkness,

Sadness,

Ravishes my life

I am never seen for who I am

Only as a beast

Trapped in this mindset

Enveloped by the hatred of others

Forever.

Yet no more.

I am no longer a victim

I will take control

Their lives are important

Here I stay a changed creature

No longer a creature of habit

A creature of love.
