No longer a kid

As a kid I could have been

Anything I wanted

It was all in my head

As I laid in my bed

One day I went to bed

No more dreams of benign an astronaut

No more dreams of walking the moon

Or surfing a tsunami

All I wanted to do was have a stable job

And my own place to call home

Woke the next moring no longer a kid
