No Longer a Kid

"Cut the grass."

"Wash the dishes."

"Watch your brothers."

Taking responsibility for others

Getting my license for the first time

Going from passenger to driver

Putting gas in the car for the first time

I'm on the road on my own now

Money in my hand from my first job

New kicks or keep my phone on?

Decisions, Decisions, No longer a kid.

School, Work, Bills.

That's where my mind is now

Standing strong with my feet on the ground

My eyes looking forward, I'm college bound.
