No Longer Who I was Before

I am the girl who lived happily with Her mother & biological father. I am the girl who always stayed over at Her abuela’s house I am the girl who got spoiled By her two successful uncles I am the girl who occasionally saw Her father every other weekend. I am the girl who eventually lost That opportunity to see her father every other weekend. I am the girl who accepted A new man’s presence in the house. I am the girl who ate Chimichurris, Patellitos & Mamitas I am the girl who had fun Getting wet in the fire hydrant. I am the girl who fell in love In the 8th grade! I am the girl whose mind was Opened. I am the girl who began Thinking differently. I am the girl who became Complicated. I am the girl who repeatedly Hurt from so much pain. I am the girl who Cried at night. I am the girl who was taken To another state. I am the girl who has had to start A new life. I am the girl who is trying To Find & Search For herself in the clouds.
