No More Crying In The Dark Of The Night

No more crying in the dark of the night.

I forgave you, I hope you forgive me.

Your broken, lost child was shown to the light.

Did you think if you left, I’d be alright?

A lost princess, no king, who would I be?

She was beautiful but her soul lacked light.

Taken with you when you up and took flight.

I gave up on you but do you believe

You broken, lost child was shown to the light?

I search for you in the dark, there is no light.

I grew to be wild, I set my heart free.

No more crying in the dark of the night.

I did not deserve this, you had no right.

I cried for you, begging desperately.

Your broken, lost child was shown to the light.

I got your dimples, your smile, your short height.

I couldn’t see where you ran off to Daddy.

No more crying in the dark of the night.

Your broken, lost child was shown to the light.
