No more excuses

No more excuses.

No more letting the works of our fathers go to waste

No more will getting that job depend on our race.

No more blaming the system and how no one cares
Because the truth is if we treat ourselves badly, how is it unfair.

No more violence, promote peace
Get our kids off the streets.
We are more than sports players, more than drug dealers, more than the ghettos of society
We are of kings and queens of the motherland
Victims of a misconception of superiority.

No more will we pull the race card to get our way
We work 10 times harder than the "Man" to be someone great.
Martin, Malcolm, Rosa never got a handout, to change the way things were
They gave every ounce of themselves, putting our future first.
They did it for the black doctors, lawyers, humanitarians to come. They did it so Obama could one day run

We promote ourselves as money hungry, womanizing gangbangers.
And expect to be respected and seen as the victim. We kill each other, steal and degrade.
While the other races sit and laugh at the ignorance displayed. So who are we to destroy King's Dream? That men and women of every color would be free.

So keep that dream alive and let racism die.
Trayvon Martin, Michael Brown, Eric Garner, a new movement arise. A revolution, this time being televised.
No more water hoses or bullets of "self defense"
This time it's our time to make a difference.

No more excuses.
