No More Hypocritical Hallelujahs

Why do we pray when a pastor says to,

But can’t speak one word when facing trouble?

Talk is so cheap, where is the follow through?

I hate to have to burst your quaint bubble.

We are all sinners of worldly passions,

Chasing what we think will give life meaning.

Covering up in disguise and fashions,

While putting up facades, vainly preening.

Fallen, we are saved by a perfect grace,

Yet are so quick to judge one another.

How could one allow time to go to waste

By spurning or condemning a brother?

So instead of just sitting in the pew,

Next time take a different point of view.
