No More Stress

As I turn on the tv all I see is pain

I can't stop the hurt nor the insane

I have to use my head; I have to use my brain.

I turn on some music that will sink through my skin

and I realize a poem is all I need within,

It helps my think and even comprehend.

Poetry is not just words, but it relieves my stress

of all the problems, of all the mess

It gets me through the day; even before I undress.
