No Name

He's the kid in the back of the class You see him everywhere . In the cafeteria, on the bus, Here and there in town. He never says a word, Never looks up from his doodles. Never joins in discussion, Just sits in his own world. But in that world, he fights demons They roar and gnash their teeth at him His wrists show the evidence, He screams his silent screams. But nobody hears. Nobody sees, That he hopes to escape this world He will go unnoticed by you and me. Why don't we care more? Why can't we see- That he's a person, Just like you and me. Instead, we ignore him; Act like he doesn't have a soul. But we'll regret these actions last minute, At the funeral. We're ignorant. If we don't see it, it doesn't exist. We watch and listen to the hatred we dish out, But blind to the disgust living within us.
