the no one

Dear old lover,

Your smile, full of innocence

Your hands, soft to the touch.

You made me feel the unimaginable, and of course I fell for it

I fell for the lies,

I fell for the words,

I fell for the fake love,

And all you did was walk and smile.

Dear mistake,

All you did was destroy my heart

You walked right in with a show,

Left without a squeak

You took my attention in the blink of an eye

And made it stay there for life

Your smile imprinted in my brain

Something that will never go away.

Dear pain in the ass,

You did all you could to stay stuck in my head

Kept saying you weren’t the one I needed

When what you wanted to say was that you had someone new

You know you could have just told me that

But of course, you just found a better way to hurt me

That’s why I said, with tears in my eyes

Goodbye.
