No one ever told me

No one ever told me what i'd be facing today

as a kid i looked at life with colors

as i grew it became grey

broken hearts, tears, sadness

No one ever told me i'd be left alone

i watched my mother leave us

i watched her take another road

no one ever told me i'd face diabetes alone

the road of injections and pills

the road i wish i didn't go threw

no one ever told me life is grey
