Of no one in non-particular
How does your ego fit inside your head?
Does your skull not cave under the pressure
and spew its guts on the walls?
How does your ego fit inside your head?
Does your head not irritably pound
with the force of a lion
fighting against the bars of a cage for a mere cat?
If your head ever does feel like it might explode though;
I guess I could say really mean things to you.
But what would that do;
your ego doesn't let any undesired sound
get beyond this invisible force field
that seems to surround you;
protect you from what god forbid might be reality.
Although what could I say that would even verge on mean anyway?
I could say that your music isn't that great
that your your sense of humor is stupid
or that you have a horrendous overbite.
But that would just be lying
and I like your overbite.
