No One Is You

You have never

Been more clear to me before

You have never

Been more perfect to me

Then you are now

Tonight

Face to face

I start to get scared

Overthinking

Overcomplicating

Making it harder on me and you

But you hold me down

You stick

When no one else was around

And I suddenly start to smile

It's never felt like this before

I could travel

Every inch of this world

I could turn over every stone

I could live my life

Alone

And I would never

Find what I have found in you

Resting in your very bones

I just know

I feel it

When you feel me

Hold me close

Hearts pressed tight

And when you reach for me

In the dead of the night

Nothing settles these demons

Like your hands have

And still do

No one

Is you

So thank you

For letting me hold you

When my hands

Had scarred you

Thank you

For keeping all those heavy secrets

Of mine

Thank you

For giving time

Rather then stealing it

Thank you

For making it all worth it

The pain

The tears

The rain

Thank you

For leaving a stain

Because no one

Is you
