No poet

I am no poet

writng is not second nature to me

silence comes in place where words should come ang go like a waterfall

crashing down instead against the rocks that is my mouth

I am no poet

not like my sister

she who can so expressively call an audience

like a mother does to eager children for stories

I am no poet

for I have sought out my sisters gift

to find that there is no structure to the paragraphs

of the symphony she makes with words

I am no poet

I have realized that there are no rules

to speaking the emotions

that words are never the wrong ones to express yourself

I am a poet

I am a person who has no limits to thinking freely

I am a person who speaks with real meaning

I am a person who has discovered their own way with words
