Rejection is a letter
Scarlet, violent
In the ways of power.
Impersonal
In the ways I can't be.
Power can say no,
But I can't.
No power:
A full sentence;
A life withheld.
My no only matters
If someone else gives it.
I must take it.
Because I don't have
No power.
