no shadows

The seaglass shimmers in the sidewalk,

misty icecubes clinking in my glass,

the glimmer of the heavens in your eye,
all resplendence and brilliant cobalt-love,
the world is a sparkling seascape, with you.

The blankets billow around your form
in celestial cloudiness; your hair, soft
beams radiating from your face, my sun.
You float through the skybed to kiss my cheek,
nurturing and gentle as the rain.

The air is sharper, the sun is brighter,
when they pass over you, running to my
fingertips from yours. My love, you highlight
every footstep in the day, you are the richness of the earth,
you are a blinding luminosity, which casts no shadows.

Eternally, I burn in the pyres of your presence,
and from the ashes, I cannot help but sing your name.
