No Such Thing

(poems go here) No Such Thing There’s no such thing as bad hair. It’s a sad thing when our young black queens’ self esteem lies in a relaxer crème. There’s no such thing as an ugly person. Darker skin isn’t a sin but whether you choose to acknowledge now or then beauty only lies within. There’s no such thing as a dummy. Being “smart” is a dull art giving limitation to the imagination of those who talk to the voices of God’s creation. There’s no such thing a bad writer. Your words can’t be stifled by a government that only feels that guns cause harm when the set of eyes looking down the barrel are their own. There’s no such thing as being defeated. Stumbling blocks are only set by those who know that you’ve already won a race that hasn’t started yet. There’s no such thing as high class. The Son of God was even born in a manger, birthed forth in this world of danger that is walked on by every man but society insist on giving bigger portions to the lighter toned hand. There’s no such thing as segregation. We are all brothers and sisters some darker than others, and some lighter too, but when made up minds come together for the greater good we as a people can stand stronger than we’ve ever stood.
