No Such Thing as Fairy Tales

No prince charming No glass slipper Not even a fairy godmother Nothing to resemble a fairy tale It all seems worthless Unfair, just wrong How people can go around Living life through song Nothing matters No one cares In the end ‘Cause ‘Happily Ever After’ is but a ruse Storybooks give you hope Of a future that is better Well I am here to tell you The stories are fakes Play your cards right You might win a prize But more than likely You will just lose it all Sorry to disappoint The truth hurts sometimes So suck it up kid You will survive
