No Such Thing As Perfect

The mask I wear hides the real me. The face I put on, What I pretend to be. You see others for who they are. The vicious words, the fights among us, Relationships broken no mending could save. Expectations of previous promises, Leave freely as does your trust for them. The appearance of truth turns before your eyes. The deadly choices, The well-known voices, Voices that say things you don't want to hear. No one wants to hear the truth. We hide our pain and weakness, It makes us feel less. Lesser people, lesser friends, will the hatred ever end? Once you're inside all walls are down, All signs are go for changing who you are. Personalities show, and now you know. There is no such thing as perfect with people around. The words and truth are right behind that line. There is no perfect, so why try?
