No Time for Sleep

Eight hours until practice and the house is still boisterous

Seven hours until practice and the television is blasting

Six hours until practice and the yelling downstairs is moving continuous

Five hours until practice and the ogres slam the front door

Four hours until practice and the stomping of their feet move through the halls

Three hours until practice and the house finally ends the loud war

Two hours until practice and I finally can fall asleep into my ball

One hour until practice and I throw on my running shoes

Practice time and now I have nothing to lose
