No Tree

Like a tree standing tall and firm, No wind can break or torn me, I may bend, tilt and lean, But I'm still standing free. I may be different in so many ways, But I'll never live astray. For many are those who believe, That I'm strong and brave. They may not treat me that gently, I could understand them intently. I'm strong and shows no weakness, Hence, they thought I don't need their assistance. "I don't need their caress, Nor their smile and kisses, Their time, love and sympathy" That's what they can see in me. I'm independent despite being surrounded, I tend to grow on my own, Maybe that's also one of the reasons, Why they're not so warm to me. I may bend but I'll never break, I tilt but standing still, I rest but never quit, I'll hold with all my will! Like a tree I am, But no tree at all! Yet I'm also strong and firm, Just like them all! Bamboo - what they call me, A sturdy no tree.
