No Words

There are simply no words to define me

Only hardships brought by God

To teach me who I was meant to be

Which is still a phenomenon

My first hardship was my mother's cancer

How lucky I am she perservered

Which taught me to never take love for granted

And to hate the taste of beer

The second encounter was by far the worst

An illness almost took her again

Which taught me to swallow my fears

And to cope with the tip of a pen

Each year of my life comes a new battle

As if my birthday marks its arrival

Perhaps the definition of Olivia is cursed

Or maybe it's survival
