no words.

for you,

i have no words.

nothing to explain how your laugh and voice sounds in my ears,

nothing to show how my love will last for hundreds of years.

nothing to describe the way you make me feel inside,

nothing to depict how my love constantly rises like the tide.

nothing to paint the picture of how you look in my eyes.

nothing to explain how and why you can instantly end my cries.

for you,

i have no words.

my emotions aren’t simple enough to explain.

how my love also comes with pain.

all the sad romance songs i relate to,

how they all connect back to you.

that my tears can be of joy or sadness

as i sink into this madness we call love.

if someone were to ask me,

“how do you feel about him?”

“why do you like him?”

i wouldn’t be able to tell them.

the words would get caught in my throat,

i’d show them all the love poems i ever wrote,

and i’d struggle to tell the full truth,

the only thing in my mind being your face full of youth.

everything i could say seems like an understatement, a lie.

and i’d search for answers in a star filled sky.

i’d try my best to explain,

but i know they can't look inside my mind,

and know why.

sometimes i don’t know when or why i fall in love either.

and if you,

amore mio.

were to ask me how i feel.

i could give speeches and poems,

declarations and songs,

comparing my love to the moon and stars,

to the sun and mars.

to the comets and constellations,

to forests and fields,

to rays of silver and light of gold,

to the darkness of night and the warm of day,

to the sea and the lake,

and i'd call it fate.

but darling in the end it boils down to who you are.

so what i would say, amore mio, is simply–

“I love you.”
