THE NOBEL MIRACLE(BY AYESHA

THE NOBEL MIRACLE

(BY AYESHA KHALID)

as i wrote the words
i was lost in other worlds

poetry beads had become my words
they were liked by people and different lords

i had never imagined a poet was born
it had offended some and some had turned to scorn

as i wrote it never knew this name would be included in the letter
had forgotten all and was engaged in my routine to take rest later

as the name was announced it became a Nobel miracle
reaching the destination to get the reward had become critical

The creator had blessed in a way that was so splendid
had acquired this soaring status after had a little studied

had proved to the world my people were not terrorists
neither are they fanatics nor are they fundamentalists

they have given so many sacrifices in the name of terrorism anticipation
this medal will become the balm on their wounds and a grand celebration

standing smiling and getting this regard so very tall
a dream had come true in this hospitable foreign hall

MAY THE CREATOR BLESS ALL RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS GENEROUS ACT
MAY ALL THE HUMANITY COME TOGETHER TO SIGN THE PEACE PACT
