Nobody

"Why do I lie?"

I asked myself over and over again.

As I stared at an empty chair

"Because...," I said.

"Nobody cared about your truth.

"Nobody cared that you were getting A's

"Nobody cared that you worked at a fast food place

"Nobody cared if you hadn't gone out in a month

"Nobody cared if you hadn't sang out your lungs

"Nobody cared about the things that you did

"Nobody cared cause you were nobody to them."
