#NoFilter
Without a filter, my mind seems to flow right.
Without contrasting, fading, taking my dark times and making them seem bright, my life seems to flow right.
I am a rose that blossomed out of concrete. Without my filter, you can see the seed that was sewn in me twenty years ago that makes me exactly who I am.
Behind the filter is where the secret lies.
Where the N.C. kid wakes up and tries to make sense of the world around him.
For he doesn't know how special he is.
He will reach higher, speak stronger, sing louder, and write better than anyone ever did.
He has proven himself worthy of happiness, yet he is constantly trying to find a chance to strip away the filters that society place onto him.
Through expression, progression, positive suggestion that lacks oppression, he will find a way.
He sees light at the end of the tunnel that #NoFilter can take away.
