When you see me

you think you know me

from what I present myself to be

or what I think you would like to see

of me of who I "want to be"

with hashtags and filters and make ups and cover

for what I don't you to see that hides and hovers

over me

the truth that neither of us wish to see

for if we were to be honest that we were all putting on

then we would have to release the disillusioned reality ;it would be gone

and all we would be left with it the things we had before

but now we must decide between those and the things that promise more
