#NoFilter

My smile is fake

My words, filtered

I hide my true self behind this mask of happiness and contentment

Inside, I am hurting

My lungs yearn to speak out

There is a strain inside my voice that needs to release

My true self wants nothing more of this life

Wants to abandon this city and start over

Wants solace and serenity

Wants a relief from the stress in the jugdmental world

This world is filtered

This life isn't authentic

We adapt to society's standards

We hide behind our screens

No one sees our true self

No one knows our true feelings

Remove the filter
