#nofilters

I filter my pictures.

I do not want to be judged by my pores, wrinkles, and scars.

You may not see much of it in my picture but in person you'd understand my struggle.

From watching movies, advertisement, and online photos, I still try to find my own beauty.

We use filters and all sorts of tools to make our own self different to fit into society's beauty.

Advertisement has been a big impact on me because I don't know my own beauty.

I was taught in order to be appreciated, I need to lose weight and be skinny.

I was also taught that beauty was within my attitude and brain, or at least try to slim down my size.

I underestimated myself, because I know better to not let others judge my beauty for their expectations.

I am strong, yet I'm weak at my strongest point.

I know I am more than just an image with filter,

but I wanted to be called beautiful by society.
