Nomad

I want to be a doctor.

Freshman year, high school.

Presentations.

Give a speech.

"What will you do with your life?"

I want to be a doctor!

Eight years of college.

Money.

High standard of living.

. . . Save lives.

Then it was his turn.

"Nomad."

Wander the world.

Be happy; find yourself.

The class is stunned.

The teacher is pissed.

The student is silent, then -

"Your job doesn't change you. It should help you find who you are."

Maybe I'll be a doctor and a nomad.
