None but the lonely hearts...

None but the lonely hearts know my pain.

None but the barren soul have felt this way.

Floods of ink could rain

Every hour of every day

Unable to write away

The sorrows I entertain.

I was told you did not love me

This drove a dagger through my heart.

Still you haunt my poetry

Wedging your way into my art.

Though we must now depart

Know I’ll always love thee.
