The Noose
His presence startled her
And left her uneasy
His sinister grin gave her goose bumps
As the chills pricked at her spine
He craved to embrace her
To hold her in his grasp
Everytime he begged her to let him hold her
She refused and shoved him away
Until the lies began to appear true in her eyes
And her sorrow latched onto her heart
She surrendered to his touch
And his hold was not of love
But of pain
As he wrapped around her neck
Cutting off circulation and air
Her warm rosy cheeks became lifeless and pale
As her reality was no longer of this world
But in the air swaying on a pendulum of rope
