I sit

I stare

I think

I sleep

With tears in my eye

And evil in my brain

We weren't supposed to end up this way

We never talk

I always doubt

What my life is about

Not a day goes by

I don't wonder why

But I never regret anything I said

You don't believe

I don't trust

But you act as if it's a must

You don't understand

And you never will

Just how us was real

It don't make sense to you

But it always will to me

How every night I close my eyes and you're all I see

I kept the memories safe inside

I refuse to let them hide

But you

The past needs to stay in the past

Because you think nothing lasts

But what you don't know

Is no one's fault but your own

You let it slip right through your fingers

Because apparently

"I'm no different"
