Normal Conversation

Mon, 02/10/2014 - 16:56 -- Dirah

Have you ever wanted to write a poem for someone because having a normal conversation just doesn’t work for you?
You try to explain why blood rushes to your face with a single touch, but the words seem to fall off a cliff as soon as you open up.
You try to explain why you stutter and get nervous with only a single look from them, but nothing makes sense.
It’s hard talking about how you think the planets aligned when they were born because they are a creation only the universe could be able to make.
Metaphors and similes; couplets and iambic pentameters; free verse and letters; all of these make more sense to use than simple “hellos” and “I love yous”.
I’m sorry I can’t contain the urges to tell you that we could watch sunsets everyday, but none of them could come close to you. I’m sorry I can’t help to kiss poetry on your lips and personify my tounge and let it light your skin with a passionate flame.
I’m sorry, but I’m not good with normal conversation.
