Nostalgia

Thinking of the pleasures of the past often makes me nostalgic Happy for the pearls of joy we had doing mundane things Pillow fight on a King size bed and listening to the ghost stories It still gives me goosebumps as if it was only yesterday Scuffle we had at dinner to snatch the biggest piece of cake The excitement of being packed like sardines while traveling in Pa's Willis Listening to the stories of maneater of Rohtashgarh Climbing on trees in the garden and plucking forbidden fruits Travelling on Railway steamer and watching dolphins in the river Bunking school and roaming aimlessly for hours in the jungle Mother's challenge of drinking the Horlicks after the wholesome dinner And the tight hugs she gave me while leaving for my hostel There are so many memories I wish could catch them all Ah! Isn't nostalgia such a strange feeling for all of us Making melancholic and happy for the moments from yore
