Nostalgia.

The only memory

I havent yet blocked from my mind

Consists of driving around our pathetic, small, drowsy town

Wandering around for anything at all to do.

I look up from my lap

Red light,

You went right through it, no hesitation.

I kept singing, singing to you at the top of my lungs, using every bit of air I had.

All too happy, even just to be in the presense of you.

You.

The boy I wanted forever.

You didn't look over.

You didn't acknowledge my attempt to make you smile.

& as you sped through the light, I glanced at you, hoping it wouldn't become a habit.
