Nostalgia
Broken down and falling apart,
Just another one of those girls with a broken heart,
Loving each moment even when it was our last,
Not looking into the future, just living the past,
Listening to our old country song,
Wondering what I did wrong,
My tears rain from the sky,
Wasn’t ready for the goodbye,
So now I burn your picture in the night,
Wishing that your arms still held me tight,
The warmth of your body is absent from me,
You are the one I want to see,
So I walk along the beach following our steps,
Gazing out at the sea, my heart sunken in it depths,
Remembering the time you threw me in,
With that sweet lopsided grin,
Those were the times that I wish I still had,
For those happy times make me sad.
