Nostalgia
If I could I would go back to when we first met.
Those days of smiles and happiness,
So far gone.
Elevator music plays when we see each other,
An elephant in the room.
Those memories have been washed away and replaced.
Moving on seems like such an easy thing,
Why is it so hard?
So I sip my coffee and vaguely listen to the one in front of me,
The one that’s not you.
Jazz music plays in my mind as I reminisce those days we were in love.
Like this coffee,
It was so bittersweet and passed by so quickly.
Are my ears broken?
I cannot hear anything around me.
Maybe I don’t cross your mind,
Maybe you’ve forgotten about me.
These days grow more and more boring,
Quiet and uneventful.
Why did it end?
Why do good things end so quickly and sadly?
It’s a tragedy.
And so I sit here,
No more coffee.
Just the nostalgia.
