A Nostalgia of Sorts

I remember I used to feel The cool autumn breeze Tickle my neck As I scurry into the house I recall the pitter of rain Dropping from the grey clouds Like a hymn of synchronicity Snapping me back into reality I remorse the smell of that rain As the storm ceased On those sleepy days Walking along the water’s edge Watching the sea caress the sand Making it feel loved As the leaves fell And the days shortened I forgot what was the past And what was the present I remember that feeling I got From that cool autumn breeze From the pitter of rain From those sleepy clouds I used to feel Now I can only remember But those memories are fading And when they disappear As will I And we both will be forgotten
