not anymore

when times were simple

playing in the yard with your sister

turns into long car rides at night

your friend group dwindles

as you grow into your teenage years

because no one really undeerstands you

soon boys don't have cooties anymore

and your heart is being broken

but you only get stronger and as your mom comforts you

you realize as you are preparing for college

that this is real life, your mom is crying

your sister is going to miss you while you're away

and you need them too

but you've

grown up.
