Not Enough

I sometimes believe that someday

You will wake up

          Next to me

And wonder how and why

you settled for what you see

I fear my pretty words

will one day lose meaning for you

That my love

won't be enough to keep you

I fear that you will find me to be not enough

          and, paradoxically, too much
