Not Enough

Trying to analyze the details of the purpose as I interpret the explanation of was I good enough
Examining the conversation was selfish as you played me to a reflection of your past
As I dissect the internal part of this lesson not once did I get the translation that I was good enough
Loving you was top priority as I loved myself less to put you first
Questioning myself on how you put me in a bad place
I guess it was my default
As I scrutinized closely I tended to hit the ground
I had to be patience because loving you wasn’t basic
You adored the sensation as each and every night you told me lies
Trying to control my mind
You could careless on how I felt
Deep down inside I wished at times of dying
I gave you all of me
All of me was real and yet I still didn’t love myself because I put you first
Playing your cards as you tore my heart into pieces
My heart will never be the same way because the one person I fell for made me feel I wasn’t good enough
