Not Even Mad

I can’t even be mad at you anymore.

I feel so guilty and that hurts me even more.

I ache inside because my response to the

wounds you carved into my heart was wrong.

It was rash and impulsive and right now I

have to be

Strong.

I am so sorry. I am so sad. I am so hollow.

The fire inside my chest left the biggest gap,

a hole waiting to swallow…

Me.

I can’t believe myself.

The fact that I have the ability to stand here,

before you,

and apologize to

you…

for hurting

Me.

Does that even remotely make sense?

Not in this Reality.

I am She who

can see the Hurt that may be

and show that now you may know

that I

Am much Stronger than thee

because I’m

not even mad.

I love words... I actually started out writing lyrics for songs and then I realized how much more I can express myself through poetry. One of my teachers pushed me to join the writing club at school and the book that the club published had so many amazing writers that I decided that I wanted to be a part of that community. When I write my poetry about a topic that means something to me it makes me feel freer, like a weight lifts off my shoulders every time and I LOVE IT!
