Not Everything is Awesome

Not everything is awesome

Not everything is good.

The darkness closes in,

I put up my hood.

Breathe in, breathe out

let's start this from within.

My heart replays the rhythm

I peak out again.

I hear a child laughing

I see today's sky, behold!

--a moment, a cloud,

a story being told.

The present is my present

the bird's chirp to say,

"hey"

Everything is awesome if you let it.

It's a game you've got to play.

Everyday's a new beginning

the awesomness is begetting,

only you decide if you're winning

& it'll still be beautiful either way.
