Not Fair

Once upon a time--

Well, it felt like a long time ago, and maybe it has.

Every time a child picks this tale to read, Miss Cinderella always gets a happy ending.

And for me?

I--I get left with a broom and always suffering.

It’s not my fault that my mother told me how to act towards Cinderella.

I also wanted to find my prince and thought he would be the one.

But i know if I search once I’m free, I’ll find my handsome fella.

And hopefully he won’t run.

I’m self aware and know that this won't happen.

For every page that is turned we redo what was done.

Hoping that the child reads this fairytale will be happy and full of passion.

Although I’m self aware, sometimes I want to be the one.

The one who gets everything

I, not only want that.

But I want it to stay good in my favor, not letting it vanishing.

Can’t people consider that? Instead of calling me ‘a girl whose feet is fat’?

Must I forgive the girl who stole my future?

I, the “evil” step sister should beg on her knees?

Must I plead not only asking the readers to change the story but maybe add an admirer.

My heart feels like it’s being stung by bees.

On this forever ending loop, of countless fairytale.

I’m slowly becoming frail.

When the book is collecting dust I stay where I’m at.

Because in the end I know where i’ll end backup

My step sister running away with prince charming not even stopping for a chat.

Again, I get left with a dustpan and a broom forever doomed, one day hopping I can packup.
