Not Forever Gone

Death is nothing but us parting ways

Until we can see each other in future days

You are seen in the daily rays

How oft it is wished to hug you

Especially when certain music plays

There are days where I smile so bright

Others I cry through the night

How I miss your glowing light

That includes your smiling face

Which I wish was in my sight

The colors go from blue to gray

How I wish you've never gone away

Please help me not go astray

Lead my safely home

To where we can forever stay

Before I know it time has passed

Seasons have changed so fast

Your smile is no longer in the past

The wind lets me feel you near

We will soon meet at last
